Frequently asked questions

What is stablecoin dominance?
It's the share of the whole crypto market that is stablecoins (USDT, USDC, DAI, FDUSD and the other dollar-pegged ones), added together.
What does it mean when it rises?
That money is leaving crypto for stablecoins without leaving the exchange: it usually happens when the market falls or there's fear. When it falls, money goes back to bitcoin and the rest.
Why doesn't it match TradingView exactly?
Because nobody publishes the total market cap for free and everyone adds it up their own way. Here it's the sum of today's 100 largest coins, excluding wrapped tokens and staking derivatives. The shape of the curve is the same; the number can differ by a few tenths.
